Ann’s Statement on the Shulgin Archive & Fundraiser

Dear Shulgin Community,

Once again, I have some exciting news concerning the current Shulgin projects. After ten months of evaluation, assessment, and strategic organization, the small core team working on the Shulgin Archive have determined that this area of endeavor must become its own enterprise. The team, headed by Melitta von Abele (Interim Director) and Keeper Trout (Digital Archive Director), will file the archive project as a 501(c)(3) in November 2016 as The Shulgin Archive.

Paul Daley, Simon Brandt and Nicholas Cozzi, who are publishing their research in the chemistry and pharmacology of psychedelics under the ASRI (Alexander Shulgin Research Institute) designation, will continue to nurture that aspect of the Shulgin legacy until it is ready to become a fully-fledged organization alongside Transform Press and The Shulgin Archive.

The Shulgin Archive team will launch their first fundraising campaign from October 24 to December 15, 2016. I hope you will look out for the banner announcement and consider donating to support their formation of a digital library from the numerous research documents and reports, lectures, journals, letters, and photographs belonging to the Shulgin estate. More details on the Archive project mission will be provided in the fundraising campaign materials.

As always, we are grateful to have your continued interest and support.

Coming Soon

Hello everyone –

There hasn’t been much happening on this web site for quite a while. But don’t judge a book by its cover!

It has taken some time since Sasha’s death to take stock of the vast amounts of material that he left behind. We have been assembling a team, and people are working on the many tasks that need to be done. Now we need to communicate more regularly about what is happening.

My own first report about my activities was published in Erowid Extracts, the spiffy print magazine that you receive if you join Erowid. But I’m not the only person working by any means.

A major revision to this web site is in the works, to more accurately reflect the work that is happening and what will be happening in the future. So stay tuned!
